The whole family, 6 adults and 5 kids, loved it! The decor was beautiful and the home was so clean. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the adults took advantage of the spa on the days we stayed home. We also did a lot of cooking while we were there and the kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to prepare the meals. I was also happy to see the highchair and play yard available as we are expecting a baby this May. I don't think we can ever go back to hotel rooms now!!!! We will and have recommended your home to family and friends who are thinking about vacationing in Florida. We all look forward to planning our next vacation at your home. January 24-31, 2004 Thank you soooo much for your hospitality and correspondence regarding our Big Disney Trip. Your house was absolutely perfect for us. When we first booked the house, a year prior to the trip, we had no idea who in our family was going to join us. When it came down to leave Toronto, my husband's two sisters and parents were all packed. To make a long story short, there were 8 adults, 2 two-year-olds, and 3 one-year-olds in your wonderful vacation home.Your vacation home became our refuge away from the crowds and hussle of Disney. (A series of hotel rooms would have never worked for us.) Every aspect of your home was appreciated and used to the max. That huge baby gate around the pool put our mind at ease. Your playpens, high-chair, baby monitor etc... Were fully appreciated. Your movies were watched, video games were played. Even your board games were used. The amount of dishes have been great. The kitchen was more useful than my own at home. (Our toddlers loved to sneak into your walk-in pantry for snacks.) The Disney room was the highlight for the children. The Mickey lamp, Disney clock, bean bag chair were all a hit with our kids. My husband and I have been talking about this vacation non-stop. Friends who have only stayed in hotels have asked me about the cleanliness of the house. My comments to them, is that when we arrived we were blown away by how spotless and luxurious everything was. The bathrooms were not just clean, but there were beautiful embroidered towels folded in all key locations, with a facecloth folded like a fan, and a little soap in the middle. I know it sounds silly, but I really enjoyed all the extra little details. My sister-in-law was constantly talking about the decor. We think that the furniture and the artwork must have cost more than the home itself. We love how "exotic" the decor was, rather than the typical "sea-shell, pastel floral", that is everywhere in Florida. I have line-ups of people who are requesting your name and number. Disney's recent slogan "magical gatherings" was what you would call our Large Family Vacation. Dear Jan & Paul, The Colohan Family really enjoyed staying at your beautiful Florida vacation home over the Thanksgiving holiday. It is the most comfortable, tastefully decorated rental home I've ever been in. It truly was like staying at a relative's house. The pool and hot tub were very nice to relax in after a long day of park hopping. We especially enjoyed having all the privacy that goes along with renting a house. It really gave our family the chance to spend a lot of time together which is good since most of us live quite a distance from each other. Before I go I must tell you the funny story about our Thanksgiving day. Just as we were about to cook the food we had purchased for our big holiday meal, the transformer located in the front yard blew a fuse. We lost all electrical power for 5 hours, along with about 16 other houses in the immediate neighborhood. The transformer was smoking, gurgling and smelling pretty bad. The fire department came and taped off the area. The power company came a few hours later and replaced the whole unit. And finally we had power! The only problem was that it was 8:30 p.m. at night, a little late to begin cooking. Needless to say, it is one Thanksgiving none of us will ever forget! Your management company was very friendly and helpful during our entire stay. They responded to the emergency situation very quickly as well. We look forward to visiting Florida again in the near future. My son is 4 years old and is very eager to go again. The kids especially enjoyed being able to go out and lie around in the pool after a busy day at the various entertainment alternatives (and so did Mom and Dad). All the accoutrements of your home are outstanding - Dawn and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. I think each of our kids spent a night in each of the bedrooms (they have to try everything), so a lot of sheets wound up rumpled - sorry about that. After spending two grueling days in the car with three boys, we arrived safely yet tired. We were completely in awe when we walked into your beautiful home. The decor and furnishings were elegant, yet comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised that the home was SO CLOSE to WDW -- just 5 minutes to Animal Kingdom! The boys enjoyed swimming in the backyard pool and using the Playstation, too. Your website statement is true -- every need my family had was provided for.
